In September and October 2007, a group of elementary school teachers created didactic materials for their students who were then invited to participate in a virtual safari in Kenya.  During these activities students visited a small village in Kenya where they were able to see how the everyday life of their peers looks like.  The initial version of the didactic materials was tested in three elementary schools in October and involved 300 students.  Taking into consideration feedback from students and teachers, a final version was completed and made available on the internet where it is freely accessible until the end of 2008.

All elementary schools of Malopolska district were invited to participate in the project.  Teachers that are interested in using the materials can receive a free copy form MTO.  By the end of 2007 the website www.szkolnesafari.pl had been visited 1236 times.

We appreciate the support of the RITA Program and Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their support of global education in the region.
